Developers table 400 homes in Preston

Preston City Council’s planning committee is due to meet later this week and is expected to approve almost 400 homes on sites across central Lancashire, including 60 apartments for extra care designed by Levitt Bernstein.

Maxy House Farm could be redeveloped to make way for 230 family houses

At Maxy House Farm in Cottam, landowner Andrew Bradshaw is applying for planning permission to build 230 homes on a 25-acre site. Advised by Emery Planning Partnership, it is understood that Bradshaw is seeking to gain planning consent before disposing of the land to a developer.

Meanwhile, in Grimsargh, housebuilder Wainhomes has applied for outline planning permission and access for a development of 70 homes at Ribblesdale Drive.

Plans have also been resubmitted after an earlier rejection for 24 homes at Pudding Pie Nook Lane, by Falagoza SA, represented by PWA Planning.

In Ingol, Levitt Bernstein’s designs for a 60 affordable extra care apartments have been recommended for approval by the planning committee. The scheme for the Community Gateway Association is to be built on playing fields in the centre of the village.

Preston’s planning committee is scheduled for 7 July.
