Developer plots 160 homes in Kendal

Alan Bell has submitted an outline application to build the homes on land that is part grazing field, part golf course driving range.

Set east of Hayclose Road, the proposed development would have up to 160 homes. Illustrative plans, drawn up by Design by Pod, include a mix of homes from apartments and terraced houses to semi-detached and detached dwellings. The residences would come in a variety of sizes, with some having just one bedroom and others having up to four bedrooms.

The plans call for an estimated 35% of affordable housing.

Steven Abbott Associates is the planning consultant for the project, which would sit on nearly 19 acres.
