Davos picks up, reworks £10m Baltic Triangle resi

TJ Morris’ property development arm has lodged plans to build an eight-storey block comprising 59 apartments off Blundell Street in Liverpool, a site previously being progressed by TaylorHighdale.

Davos Property’s plot, located in the Baltic Triangle, was previously the subject of proposals for an 89-apartment project.

That scheme, from a vehicle headed up by directors Robert Taylor and former Liverpool footballer Sean Highdale.

The revised plans, designed by architect Falconer Chester Hall, would feature 27 one-bed apartments and 32 two-bed apartments.

In addition, the £10m scheme proposes a bridge link to an existing three storey warehouse building, with three ground floor commercial units, each with active frontages.

Project architect Robert Brym said: “We’ve taken the thoughtful detailing on the 1916 warehouse as a guide for its new neighbour.

“The recessed brickwork, fenestration and balconies all pay homage to the street’s industrial vernacular whilst providing residents with open and airy homes.”

Savills is advising on planning. CHBS, Zerum, Garry Miller Heritage Consultancy, Orion Fire, Futureser, Acoustic & Engineering Consultants, Prime Transport Planning, and Hydrock are also advising.

The Blundell Street development is by no means Davos’s only pipeline scheme.

The company is also behind plans for a student scheme in the Fabric District and is working with Beetham Group on plans for a £1bn tower cluster at King Edward Triangle.

Good news, this. Davos seem to know what they’re about. A development with nice balconies, too. Amen to that.

Like that a lot, hope it races through planning, that part of the Baltic has slowed down a bit lately development wise.
TaylorHighdale had planning permission for the Norton site, hopefully that will be picked up soon.
