Shoosmiths names head of housebuilding
Peter Marsden, a partner at the law firm’s Manchester office, will lead a team dedicated to assisting the likes of Taylor Wimpey, Barratt Redrow, and Bellway in navigating the quagmires of housing delivery.
Marsden joined Shoosmiths in 2023 with an extensive background in providing legal advice to housebuilders. He had previously been a director at real estate company Land Advisory and an in-house lawyer for Taylor Wimpey and Redrow subsidiary Harrow Estates.
“Since joining, Peter has brought a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing housebuilders today,” said Shoosmiths partner and head of real estate clients and markets Jason Jackson.
“His vast, first-hand experience gives him a unique perspective on client needs, making him the ideal person to lead this team into its next chapter,” Jackson continued.
Regarding his new position as head of housebuilding, Marsden said: “I’m proud to take on this role at such a pivotal time for the sector.
