Cundall hires associate director
Andy Gomersall has joined the engineering consultancy’s Manchester office as associate director after five years with BWB Consulting.
Gomersall has more than 15 years of experience working on large scale projects. At Cundall, he will work with the structural engineering team on helping 25 Ministry of Defense bases in their transition to zero carbon.
“This is an important move for me, and I am looking forward to the challenges and the opportunities that lie ahead,” Gomersall said. “I am excited to be part of a talented and creative team that is working already on many landmark Manchester projects.
“As a passionate sustainable engineer, joining Cundall was the perfect choice. Their vision and values for engineering excellence and zero carbon design align with my experience and goals. I want to contribute further to Cundall’s ongoing growth and already excellent reputation and hope to play a key role in strengthening the business.”
Cundall civil and structural partner Lee Leston-Jones said: “The work we are doing to help the MoD transition to zero carbon is key, and we are really pleased to have [Gomersall] on board as we grow our reputation within this sector. I am looking forward to working alongside him as we deliver sustainable, innovative projects across the North West and the world.”
Aside from the projects with the MoD, Cundall is working on English Cities Fund’s £36m Eden office building and the Homes England, Legal & General and Muse Development joint venture’s 252-acre Salford Crescent regeneration project.
