CREtech VIDEO | In conversation with Modulous

Chris Bone, Modulous CEO, explains how the digital design and procurement platform for construction is growing rapidly as it scales its solution for building residential projects sustainably.

Modulous was attending CREtech London 2022 to be part of the community of leading startups transforming real estate. Modulous is aiming to be able to deliver projects with zero embodied carbon by 2030. Its base design is zero carbon ready and by adding renewable energy can get projects to zero carbon.

The company’s digital technology includes a carbon calculator to help clients improve their performance. A major part of the Modulous approach is to use materials that have no elements of concern, ones that begin with ‘poly’, using natural products for insulation.

Modulous works with the supply chain and general contractors to procure and deliver in any country. It has live projects ongoing from Seattle and Canada to London and Bristol in the UK.

Bone is aiming to hire 100 people this year, which would treble the business from the current 50 headcount as it rolls out its software sales in the marketplace.
