Cheshire consent for Ainscough
Ainscough Strategic Land has secured planning permission for 237 homes on land in Dane Valley, Northwich from Cheshire West & Chester Council.
The consent takes the number of units Ainscough has secured consent for this year to 2,900.
John Brooks, planning director at ASL, said: "This promises to be a fabulous scheme in a unique location. The masterplan went through independent design review which concluded it would represent an exceptional extension to Northwich.
"The scheme will deliver a range of dwellings from much-needed new executive style homes through to a full offer of affordable units. In addition the scheme provides a major community benefit through the creation of a new 100 acre riverside public meadow which will come to represent a fantastic resource for the people of Leftwich and Rudheath. Overall it is a superb example of what a housing scheme can be."
Richard Barton, associate at HOW Planning, advisor to ASL, said: "We carried out a significant amount of pre-application work, engaging with various public and private bodies including the local planning authority, Environment Agency, local councillors and the community to ensure this development will provide a real public benefit to Northwich. Now that it has been approved all the advantageous elements of this scheme can be realised."
John Walley, director of John Walley Property Consultants, acting on behalf of ASL, added: "There has been longstanding market interest in this site and the consent will bring this to a head. We anticipate strong competition for the land when we bring it to the market in early 2014.
