CBRE brings Glaxo development site to market
CB Richard Ellis' North West industrial team is offering a 3.38-acre site off Speke Boulevard in South Liverpool to industrial and roadside trade users at £350,000/acre.
The prime industrial site is the last undeveloped piece of former playing fields once used by GlaxoSmithKline workers.
The plot fronts Woodend Avenue and was acquired along with the wider GSK plant by Gresham House following the drug plant's closure. Gresham redeveloped part of the site but sold on the fields to the current owner, a private individual.
Two parcels have already been sold by CBRE to VW Golf for a car dealership and building yard operator Travis Perkins, both yet to start on site.
Jonathan Thorne, director of CBRE's industrial agency team, said the site had been rebranded South Liverpool Trade Park. He added: "We believe this will help attract similar operators to VW Golf and Travis Perkins to the plot and we currently have a number of interested parties. The other major selling point is that, subject to planning, the site is suitable for a number of alternative uses so we would welcome enquiries from all end users."
