Barker to take Berg to ‘next level’

Manchester-based law firm, Berg Legal, has appointed Ian Barker as a partner in the property department.

Barker joins from Pinsent Masons where he spent 18 years, latterly as head of regeneration. He was made a partner at Pinsent Masons in 2002 and worked on a wide range of projects including Omega in Warrington, New Islington Millennium Community in Ancoats and Central Park, Manchester.

At Berg, Barker will work alongside property partners Gaby Rechnitzer and Ross Wellman. Barker said: "Over the years Berg Legal has established itself as a real alternative to the larger North West practices and I am looking forward to working with senior partner Reuben Berg and all my fellow partners to take the firm's property offering to the next level."
