Baking supplier takes 10,000 sq ft in Winsford
Wares of Knutsford has agreed terms on a 10-year lease on a unit at Merseyside Pension Fund’s Premier Park.
The supplier of home baking and preserving equipment previously worked solely from a retail unit in Knutsford but required expansion space as demand soared, leading it to the 10,120 sq ft Unit 4 at the site.
Wares’ move was facilitated by another expanding business, t-shirt printer Shirt Monkey, moving from Unit 4 to the 24,000 sq ft Unit 2.
Legat Owen and CBRE are joint agents at Premier Park. Wares was unrepresented.
Matt Pochin, director at Legat Owen, said: “These deals are reflective of the significant change in retailing and it is positive news for those SME businesses which are trading online.
“Due to the lack of accommodation available, we are also noticing the speed of deals being completed, with Wares moving into the unit the same day Shirt Monkey relocated to unit 4, being a prime example.”
Andrew Willoughby, director at CBRE in Liverpool, which manages the fund, added: “We are pleased that Premier Park is fully let again. These deals illustrate how important the park is in being able to attract SMEs to Winsford and support their expansion.”
Premier Park fronts Road One of the Winsford Industrial Estate.
