Axis-RE and Marco Living to put spotlight on Lancaster at MIPIM
Teaming up with Place North, the developers will be showcasing their £100m plans for Brewery Lane in Lancaster to a global audience at the Cannes property convention.
MIPIM will see more than 20,000 built environment professionals from both the public and private sectors gather in the South of France for a week of networking, best practice exchanges, and investment deals.
Axis-RE and Marco Living are the latest firms to join the North of England delegation at MIPIM, a group of more than 35 companies and local authorities that also includes WSP, Morgan Sindall, Drees & Sommer, and Blackpool Council.
As members of the delegation, Axis-RE and Marco Living will have access to a series of invitation-only events and exclusive opportunities at Place’s North of England Suite.
They will also be participating in Place North’s Investible North series, a group of sessions at the North of England Suite that will spotlight the fantastic investment and development opportunities for particular boroughs, cities, or projects across the North of England.
Place North will also be working with the developers to ensure their ambitious visions for Lancaster and beyond resonate with the global audience at MIPIM.

“We are very much looking forward to MIPIM 2026 and being involved with the Place North team and delegation,” said Nick Mullins, co-founder of Axis-RE.
“2026 is an important year for both Axis-RE and our partners Marco Living as we bring forward our exciting plans for Brewery Lane in Lancaster,” Mullins continued.
“It is a hugely important project in the context of the Lancashire region. We firmly believe working in conjunction with Place North provides us with the best platform to promote the project at MIPIM and throughout 2026.”
Dino Moutsopoulos, managing partner at Place North, added: “Having a developer like Axis-RE and Marco Living join the North of England delegation is very pleasing.
“As active developers across a number of sectors from BTR to commercial and beyond, they represent the sort of business that is really adding additional benefit across the whole of the North,” he continued.
“Their work in Lancaster, particularly, is very exciting as well as their work across Manchester and the wider North West. I’m looking forward to working with Nick and the wider team at Axis and Marco Living in the run-up to March and over in Cannes.”
