Aus-Bore secures Cheshire business park consent

Planning permission has been granted for Manor Point Business Park in Holmes Chapel, clearing the way for a first development phase to start in summer.

Units within the first phase will be ready to be occupied by early 2020, Wilmslow-based developer Aus-Bore said. Represented by Savills and Williams Sillitoe, Aus-Bore will bring to market Block A of the scheme, which comprises flexible units ranging in size from 2,000 sq ft to 5,100 sq ft.

The Manor Point development as a whole will ultimately total 107,000 sq ft, with the potential for trade counter, storage and distribution, light industrial, retail, leisure, medical, office and e-tail use. The site sits a mile from junction 18 of the M6.

Architect C4 Consulting and The Planning Studio have worked with Aus-Bore on the plans for the development, which is to be built on the former Manor Business Park – the site’s older industrial buildings have been demolished and the site is mostly scrubland.

The surrounding area is a mix of commercial and residential use, including a large Aldi store, Holmes Chapel Business Park and numerous retail and leisure operators.

Jonathan Atherton, industrial director at Savills, described the project as “highly versatile,” adding “this is a great opportunity for occupiers to acquire space in the sought-after area of Holmes Chapel, and we are anticipating very strong market interest.”
