Roger Hannah expands property management division with acquisition

The Manchester-based multidisciplinary practice has bought Strategic Property Management for an undisclosed sum as it looks to grow its portfolio of commercial assets by 4m sq ft.

Andrew Sutcliffe, director and head of property management at Roger Hannah said: “The acquisition of Strategic Property Management reflects our commitment to growth and continued investment in the property management sector.

“Strategic Property Management has established an excellent reputation for the management of high-profile buildings across Manchester and beyond, and their expertise aligns perfectly with our own. I look forward to welcoming their employees into the Roger Hannah as we transition the portfolio.”

The SPM deal will see Roger Hannah increase its property management headcount to 27.

“With several new appointments already confirmed for Q4 2025, alongside this acquisition, our business will be managing an additional 4m sq ft of property,” Sutcliffe added.

Part of PJD Property, South Manchester-based Strategic Property Management is made up of five staff who will become part of Roger Hannah and relocate from Altrincham to the firm’s city centre office.

SPM co-owner Phil Spark will move across with three other team members. Fellow co-owner Darryl Lee will stay on as a consultant. The deal sees Lee return to Roger Hannah 40 years after he left the firm.

“I am delighted to re-join Roger Hannah, almost four decades after starting my career with the company,” Lee said. “Returning as a consultant is an exciting opportunity to work with the Roger Hannah team in generating additional business.”

Positive growth for one of the more independents, not sure how that size of team can manage an additional 4m sqft though
