- PAUL MORRIS, CIVIC | Paul is a chartered civil engineer with over 21 years’ experience delivering sustainable urban infrastructure & public realm projects across the UK. Passionate about nature-based solutions and as a fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), Paul is dedicated to integrating SuDS & green infrastructure into urban environments to create climate-resilient, sustainable places. He has led the team’s work on major projects across the North, including Citu’s Climate Innovation District in Leeds, the transformation of Stretford Kingsway, Liverpool Waters & Mayfield Park.
- LINDA THIEL, WHITE ARKITEKTER | Linda is a partner & architect at White Arkitekter & the founder of their London studio. With her Swedish background, her work embodies a Scandinavian approach to designing homes & neighbourhoods to meet the growing challenge of urbanisation. Her experience ranges from urban development, residential & mixed-use projects, to public buildings & commercial offices. With emphasis on quality living, she pursues the values of high-quality public space to provide the foundation for long-term sustainable solutions & places.
- MATT WARNER, LAYER.STUDIO | Matt led the delivery phase of Manchester’s award-winning Mayfield Park, played a key role in Leeds’ Climate Innovation District, & has most recently shaped high street regeneration schemes in Bury & Haslingden. Matt’s work spans city-scale strategies & heritage landscapes, always with a focus on resilience, biodiversity, & community voice. Holding a Circular Economy qualification from Cambridge’s Judge Business School, he combines design-led thinking with practical delivery experience to create places that work for people, nature, & the long-term future.
- MICHAEL GRATION, FIVE RISE CONTRACTORS | Five Rise Contractors are deeply committed to sustainable building practices & environmental responsibility. They exclusively undertake environmental residential projects, specialising in either Passive House builds or deep retrofit conversions. A passionate advocate for a greener built environment, Michael & Five Rise Contractors are also actively involved in addressing the green skills gap within the industry. As a trustee of the AECB, Michael is set to play a vital role in shaping the organisation's strategic direction & furthering its mission to create a more sustainable built environment.
- JONATHAN WILSON, CITU | Both Citu & Jonathan are dedicated to creating the most impactful places for our planet. With a deep passion for sustainable development & innovative design, Jonathan plays a key role in shaping Citu’s mission to build environmentally conscious, forward-thinking urban spaces. Jonathan also sits on the board for the Academy of Urbanism & is a commissioner for the Leeds Climate Commission.
- JACK KIDDER, HENRY BOOT | Henry Boot is a leading construction, property development & real estate group. Jack is responsible for development & delivery of the group’s responsible business strategy & collaborates with the board & senior management on the group’s approach to responsible business performance & ESG.
- PAM MCGUINESS, LIVERPOOL LIVE LAB |Pam has been supporting Liverpool City Council with the Live Labs research project since the spring of 2023. Liverpool Live Labs has presented an interesting opportunity to consider how local roads infrastructure & maintenance activities can contribute to carbon reduction, climate change impacts & future resilience. With a keen interest in transport innovation research, Live Labs has offered Pam an opportunity to explore how by collaboration between public and private sector partners, alongside academia and industry specialists, we can begin to develop new thinking, new materials, tools, products, and services.
