Wine bar leases in Chorlton
Restaurant and bar operator Suburban Green has signed to take space at 60 Beech Road in the Manchester neighbourhood for its second outlet after opening in Wilmslow in 2017.
Real estate advisor Savills let the unit on a 15-year lease to Suburban Green on behalf of a private client.
The operator, which plans to launch in November, will join other bars and restaurants in Chorlton, including Bar San Juan, The Laundrette, and the Lead Station. It replaces The Parlour, a restaurant that currently occupies the space.
Suburban Green opened a casual dining restaurant, cocktail and wine bar in Wilmslow several years. The brand’s co-founders are Martin Lowe and Cal Gregg-Williams.
Lowe said: “Acquiring what we feel is one of the most prominent properties on Beech Road, this site is exactly the location we want to continue the growth of Suburban Green.
“Our mission is to deliver a premium hospitality experience to our customers on their doorstep.”
Tom Cunningham, licensed leisure and hotels director at Savills Manchester, added: “In spite of the challenges brought about by Covid-19, Chorlton remains a sought-after location for bar and restaurant operators with its quality offering and affluent residential neighbourhood.
“60 Beech Road is the perfect location for Suburban Green’s second site, complementing its existing restaurant in Wilmslow, and will add to the high calibre of independent operators already in the area.”
