Mode hires from Aecom

Mode Transport Planning has hired Michael Anthony as an associate from fellow consultant Aecom.

Anthony has worked on a number of projects across Manchester including Kampus, 10-12 Whitworth Street, and Clippers Quay, as well as Aurora Business Park in Stockport and Altcar Lane in Leyland.

The transport planning company employs 20 people in the UK, and is based at Jactin House in Ancoats. It opened its Manchester office in September 2016.

It also has offices in Birmingham, London, and Oxford.

Mode’s current projects in the North West include The Moxy Hotel in Spinningfields for Henry Boot Developments, which was granted planning permission in August this year.

It is also working on the Beacon 62 development in Huyton for a joint venture between Henry Boot Developments and Barnfield Construction, and the overhaul of Stretford Shopping Mall.

Mark Edwards, director at Mode, said “I am thrilled to have Mike join the team. Our business is all about the great people we employ and having worked with Mike previously, he will be a real asset to our clients.”

Earlier this year, the planner hired Luke Wheeler as a senior consultant, who also joined from Aecom.
