Two in at City Tower
Schroders has secured two new tenants in Manchester’s City Tower, with LG Energy and Access Pay agreeing to take a total of 6,000 sq ft of offices.
Energy procurement services provider LG Energy has taken 3,549 sq ft on a ten year lease, its first office in the city centre.
Cloud payment company Access Pay has signed for 2,759 sq ft on the 22nd floor on a six-year lease.
The lettings were agreed at a rent of £25/sq ft.
The deals follow on from the announcement that Schroders is shortly to commence a refurbishment of the ground floor atrium and reception area along with a rolling lift lobby and office floor refurbishment programme designed by ID:SR, the design arm of Sheppard Robson.
The mixed-use City Tower is made up of 350,000 sq ft of offices over 28 floors. Tenants include Indian outsourcing firm Aegis and recruitment specialist Hays.
Tom Newman, investment manager at Schroders, said: “City Tower is well positioned to respond to the ongoing demand for top quality space in the city with both of these deals demonstrating the depth of appeal on offer at the scheme.”
Colliers International is the agent on the building.
