Alternative Hotels brings De Vere HQ to market
The parent company of De Vere Hotel & Leisure Group has appointed Edward Symmons to market its 28,000 sq ft former headquarters at Daresbury Park in Warrington.
De Vere will vacate the office by July with different departments relocating to several sites around the UK and a number of redundancies being made. The restructuring follows the takeover in 2006 by the Alternative Hotel Group.
The finance department will move to London, while central reservations for De Vere Deluxe and Collection will move to Northumberland. Other services will be outsourced.
The Daresbury office, next to junction 11 of the M56, comprises a detached three-storey building with 130 parking spaces. The property is available to purchase as a whole or to let on a floor by floor basis, from 9,144 sq ft.
Rob Diggle, agency partner at Edward Symmons in Liverpool, said: "This building represents a rare opportunity for an owner occupier to acquire a prestigious headquarters located on a high profile established office park. In addition, we anticipate interest from investors seeking to purchase the property speculatively as well as from tenants seeking accommodation from 9,000 sq ft upwards."
