Dransfield on course for Christmas opening in Openshaw

Yorkshire-based developer Dransfield Properties has secured funding from Barclays for the second phase of its £40m district centre in Openshaw, east Manchester.

The second phase will comprise 37,000 sq ft of retail next to the Morrisons supermarket which opened in the first phase during November 2010. Pre-lets for the latest space have been signed with B&M Bargains, Poundland, Store Twenty One and Greggs. It is expected that the scheme will be completed by Christmas 2011.

Dransfield was advised by commercial property partner Ian Gordon and corporate partner Chris King at JMW Solicitors LLP.
