Roundhouse offers rent-to-buy Buckshaw business units
Lancashire-based developer Roundhouse Properties and contractor JWS Developments have started work on a £3m joint venture office and industrial scheme at Buckshaw in Chorley.
Momentum Business Centre@Buckshaw will contain 24,000 sq ft in 35 business units over 2.5 acres. Units will range from 630 sq ft to 2,130 sq ft.
In phase one, 11 of the 35 units are on schedule to be completed by May and Roundhouse Properties has already agreed heads of terms on all of the 11 units.
Roundhouse Properties and JWS have also sold one acre of the site for an undisclosed sum to English Trading Company, which specialises in manufacturing and importing bed linen and soft furnishings for the hotel and contract accommodation industry. English Trading Company will build a 10,000 sq ft head office and industrial unit at the Buckshaw site.
Jeremy Lefton, director of Roundhouse Properties, said: "We had significant interest in Momentum Business Centre@Buckshaw when we announced the development.
"The commercial property sector is extremely competitive purely because of the number of units available but we've developed a product that gives SMEs the flexibility and quality business space they need.
"In addition we've catered for SMEs needs by offering the 35 units through a lease, purchase or combination and created a lease-purchase scheme, giving small businesses the means to own their building if they want to."
The properties are being marketed by Roundhouse Properties supported by Nick Kos, director of Bailey Deakin & Hamiltons, sole agent for the development.
