Dandara Living takes space in Altrincham
The build-to-rent developer has signed for 8,300 sq ft on the second floor of PD Properties’ Vertex, becoming the building’s first tenant.
PD Properties completed the refurbishment of the 30,000 sq ft Stamford Street building in 2019. CBRE acted for PD Properties on the Dandara Living deal, alongside joint agent Colliers.
Dandara is a prolific build-to-rent developer. In Salford, the company delivered the 1,000-home Chapel Wharf before selling the scheme to German investor ECE.
Jonathan Cook, associate director at CBRE, said: “The complete modern transformation of Vertex, together with its excellent location, make it the ideal property for occupiers seeking modern, stylish, adaptable office space in a hugely popular area.
“This latest letting confirms the increasing demand for good quality accommodation of this calibre in South Manchester.”
Last year, South Manchester saw an 82% increase in office take-up compared to 2020.
A total of 496,000 sq ft of deals were signed in the area, including by Mitie, which took 33,567 at Atlas Park and O’Neill Patient, which signed for 22,836 sq ft at 2 Stockport Exchange.
Has Dandara signed up to the government pledge to fix historic fire safety defects in the buildings it developed?
