Ty’n y Coed landmark up for sale
Formerly a hospital and latterly the headquarters of a geoscience business, the 25,000 sq ft building is located near Llandudno.
The 1870s-built grade two-listed building is owned by the Welsh Government, and is still under lease to global geoscience company CGG Robertson, which has now relocated to a neighbouring site.
Cooke & Arkwright, the Cardiff and Bridgend-based consultancy, has been appointed to market the building for sale, although a lease to a single occupier would also be considered. Prices are only available on application.
Marketing particulars for the property describe it as being located off the Conwy junction of the North Wales expressway. Sitting within landscaped grounds, the site is accessed from Pentwyn Road, running adjacent to the A470, between Llandudno and Deganwy.
Amenities included within the building include a canteen, library, conference rooms and stores. Although configured for office use, the agent said the building could fit other uses.
The building offers slightly more than 14,000 sq ft at ground floor and 11,000 sq ft at first floor.
