Yodel takes Stakehill shed
Ventnor has let 102,855 sq ft on Stakehill Industrial Estate in Middleton to parcel distributor Yodel.
The national parcel distributor has acquired Unit 69 on a new 10-year lease with five-year break at a headline rent of £3.95/sq ft.
The acquisition forms part of the next stage of Yodel's strategy of streamlining its distribution network across the UK. The high bay distribution facility recently underwent substantial refurbishment.
Jones Lang LaSalle and CBRE were joint letting agents. Daniel Burn, director of Jones Lang LaSalle's national industrial and logistics team, said: "With its high-quality refurbishment and excellent specification, we were always confident of achieving a successful disposal of this unit.
"This deal reaffirms the lack of good quality existing distribution warehouses over 100,000 sq ft across Greater Manchester and the wider region. We are now finding that occupiers are having to consider long term build-to-suit solutions or compromise their requirements by acquiring more secondary space."
