WHSmith Travel opens in Liverpool

Sun Life Assurance has signed WHSmith Travel to a 3,000 sq ft retail unit at Liverpool's Central Station.

Conor Mulloy, retail agent at Cheetham & Mortimer, who acted on behalf of WHSmith Travel, said: "WHSmith is a great household name and this latest letting represents the company's strategy to grow its strongly performing Travel business. The space they have taken at Liverpool Central is in a prominent location, with a high level of footfall, due to the significant number of people utilising the station. We are pleased to have worked closely with WHSmith to find them the right location and to secure them the space."

The travel outlet covers both a ground and first floor. Details of the rental agreement was not disclosed.

WHSmith currently operates over 1,000 stores, comprising 532 travel outlets at airports, train stations, hospitals, workplaces and motorway service areas and 581 high street stores.
