Villafont to create North West care homes

Housebuilder Villafont is to build care homes in sites in Urmston, Timperley, Sale, Crewe, Heswall, Wilmslow, Appleton and Chester amid growing frustration over planning restrictions on potential sites for new homes.

Chris McGoff, managing director at Villafont said the 'contrived housing policies' of some local authorities were making it more difficult for companies like Villafont to develop.

The firm has agreed terms to deliver fully specified buildings on a lease basis to corporate operators and McGoff says it will consider either operating the homes itself, a turnkey delivery system, or joint venture schemes.
