University names 15 contractors on £65m works programme

Manchester University has renewed its four-year framework for construction projects up to £4m.
The budget for the period is £65m and will cover all aspects from demolition to landscaping, decoration and new-build. Works in excess of £4m are tendered separately.
The selected companies were as follows:
Value of works up to £199,999. Total value £7.2m over four years:
- City Build Manchester
- Cruden Property Services, Salford
- Garside & Laycock, Preston
- MBC Building Contractor NW, Chadderton
- Morris & Spottiswood, Warrington
Between £200,0000 and £999,999. Total budget £16m:
- Ardmac Performance Contracting, Trafford Park
- Benjamin Armitage Hyde, Stockport
- Manchester & Cheshire Construction Co, Salford
- Warden Construction, Preston
- Whitfield & Brown, Widnes
Projects between £1m and £4m. Budget £41m:
- Cruden Construction, Warrington
- Harry Fairclough Construction, Fairclough
- John Graham, Belfast
- John Turner & Sons, Preston
- Kier Northern, Manchester
