Two new starters join Place North team
Holly Sale and Zara Ashraf have joined the Northern media company to bolster its events and production teams.
Sale and Ashraf’s recruitment comes at a busy time for Place North, which operates three publications: Place North West, Place Yorkshire, and Place North East.
As digital content and marketing producer, Sale will help craft bespoke content for Place North’s public and private sector clients. This includes assisting with our podcast creations, video roundtables, marketing campaigns and other strategic business development services offered to clients. She joins from Peel L&P, where she was marketing coordinator.
Kirsty Butcher, managing partner and head of product at Place North, said she was pleased to have Sale join the production and content team. “Holly will be a great asset to the team and our clients,” Butcher said. “With her background in marketing and experience at Peel, she brings skills that will help us at this exciting point in the company’s journey, as we expand into new regions.
“Both Holly and Zara are a fantastic fit for our team and culture, and I’m looking forward to seeing them grow with the business as we keep moving forward,” Butcher continued.

Ashraf is Place North’s events assistant and recently secured a first in her hospitality and tourism masters degree at Northumbria University. She will work alongside event director Laura Davies producing conferences, networking socials, roundtables, and private events throughout the North.
“I’m thrilled to be starting at Place North as an event assistant,” Ashraf said. “I look forward to getting stuck in and learning more about the events and property industry, whilst working alongside a brilliant team.
“In my first week, I have already experienced the annual Place Party with over 700 guests,” Ashraf continued. “This has been a great start to my career with Place North, and has given me a fantastic insight into the professional events the company runs. I am excited to see where this role takes me and work on more events in the upcoming months.”
