Stobart sells 7.1% stake to American firm

Stobart Group has today announced Amercian firm Ameriprise Financial has purchased a 7.1% stake in the company.

The Warrington-based transport and logistics provider said its stake had risen above 5% after the purchase was made on 11 February, which Stobart notified to the stock exchange last Friday.

Formerly known as American Express Financial Advisors, Ameriprise Financial was identified as an independent company by the American Express Company in 2005.
