Starlight rounds off 278-home Lighthaus tower
Delivered by Vermont Construction and X1 Developments, the 31-storey build sits on Princes Dock within the £5bn Liverpool Waters regeneration area and will offer a range of BTR apartments.
Liverpool’s Lighthaus offers 278 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, many with views overlooking the River Mersey.
Features within the tower include a panoramic sky lounge, a gym, communal lounges, co-working spaces, and a concierge service.
Starlight Investments, a Canadian firm, supported the project with a £45m advance in 2023.

Jonnie Milich, head of UK residential services at Starlight, said: “Built-to-rent in the North has entered a new phase.
“Lighthaus shows what the next generation of rental living looks like, with well-designed living spaces, professional management, and access to lifestyle amenities people expect.
“The pre-leasing response demonstrates a strong demand for this kind of offering in Liverpool and across the region.”

Raj Mehta, president of global markets at Starlight, added: “Delivering new homes at scale requires genuine collaboration between public and private sector partners.

Any chance of Starlight proposing another high-rise? Of course this was stalled/delayed previously and they jumped on board. As far as I know the only real high-rises planned are in the TJ Morris cluster otherwise it’s sort of mid-rise 20 or so floors.
There’s lots of schemes from Davos that seem stuck with Planning, plus the Carpenter scheme at King’s Dock St.

Would be a real benefit for the city if Starlight and other investment companies continued interest in supporting future developments. Did any news come out of the PNW Liverpool Development event on Tuesday in terms of potential new projects?

When is an article coming out regarding development in Liverpool City Region update .
Any more news regarding KE development from Hugh Frost and did the likes of Liam Robinson get a lot of questions directed at lack of construction taking place in the city which has resulted in an extremely dire and depressing year for construction cranes to be seen operating in the city , also the lack of planning applications coming forward to planning committee meetings

Give me these so called soulless high-rise boxes anytime rather than the utterly bland ugly semi-detached council houses that were built in the inner-city in the late 1970s and afterwards. Walking up Park Lane and through parts of Chinatown, for example, is an embarrassment that such unimaginative dross should be inflicted on us.

I think the people complaining about cheap and soulless looking architecture are dreaming of a time we could actually design and build beautiful buildings. Those days are gone. what they teach in architecture school is this. Architects don’t see a problem, they know that this is want we want. Either that or they don’t care and just go for the cheapest bang for their buck. Yeah…it’s the second one isn’t it.

@ Anon 8.42am, the architect is well respected but obviously not to your taste, but like any building there’s always a budget, and that will dictate the materials used for building. I wonder if you would express your remarks face to face with the architect who after all is a trained professional and maybe could explain fully the background to this project.
