Sports car manufacturer to relocate to Liverpool

Langtree has agreed an 11,143 sq ft letting to niche car maker Briggs Automotive Company to produce its single-seater road supercar in Liverpool.

Trading as BAC Mono, the company will create around 60 manufacturing jobs at Speke Hall Industrial Estate in south Liverpool by 2014, including apprenticeships.

The company will relocate from Holmes Chapel in Cheshire following support from Liverpool City Council. Details of the package were not disclosed.

BAC expects its new production site in Speke, close to Jaguar Land Rover's Halewood plant, to be operational by the autumn, and expects to produce more than 100 cars a year by 2015.
