Shed plans submitted in Cheshire

Up to 1.5m sq ft of industrial and distribution space could be built on the former Wardle Airfield in Nantwich could be delivered of plans submitted by landowner Haughton Estate go ahead.

Acting on behalf of the Haughton Estate, HOW Planning has submitted an outline planning application to Cheshire East Council for the redevelopment of the 150-acre site.
HOW said the site, which would be called Cheshire Green Employment Park, is identified within Cheshire East Council's draft Local Plan Development Strategy as a prime area for redevelopment.

The site is next to Wardle Industrial Estate and behind the landmark NWF Group farm feeds supplier on the A51 Nantwich Road.

Conor Vallelly, principal planner at HOW Planning, said: "The redevelopment of the former Wardle Airfield represents a huge opportunity for regeneration. We have worked closely with the Haughton Estate, the Council and local representatives to carry out an extensive consultation programme which generated very positive feedback about the development of the airfield. We are now looking forward to a positive outcome and seeing the new development take shape in the future."

Fisher German Denton Clark and Lamonts have been retained as joint agents. Planit-IE and SCP advised Haughton Estate.
