Royal HaskoningDHV consolidates regional base
Engineering and planning consultancy Royal HaskoningDHV has moved to a new office on the ninth floor of Bruntwood's Portland Tower in Manchester and closed its Rochdale office.
The Manchester office has moved from 2,000 sq ft on the eighth floor to 3,200 sq ft, as the headcount has grown from 14 to 25 staff. The firm offers a range of services covering transport planning, engineering design services, archaeology, air quality, noise and vibration, environmental impact assessment, permitting, land quality, carbon management and sustainability.
In 2002 the Rochdale office opened with one director and expanded to larger offices in 2007. The Manchester office was a part of the Denis Wilson Group, which was acquired by Royal Haskoning in 2007.
Current work includes a £12m public realm project with architects Mecanoo in Manchester city centre.
The merging of the two offices was completed as the company integrates the merged Royal Haskoning and DHV business. The new merged company, Royal HaskoningDHV, now boasts nearly 8,000 employees in 35 countries. The company carries out some 30,000 projects every year in planning and transport, infrastructure, water, maritime, aviation, industry, energy, mining and buildings.
