Roger Hannah recruits director from CBRE

Steve Smith has joined the Manchester-based commercial property services company as a director.

In his new role at Roger Hannah, Smith will assist clients with residential viability assessments, provide registered provider advice, and aid in the delivery and promotion of strategic sites.

Smith has worked in the property industry for nearly 30 years, getting his start at Waltons Chartered Surveyors in Cheshire. Since then, he has worked for Knight Frank, Cushman & Wakefield, Turley, and, most recently, CBRE, where he was an associate director. Smith also has public sector experience, having been a development surveyor with Wrexham County Council in 2011.

Roger Hannah’s head of development consultancy, Laura Mackay, said: “We are delighted that someone of Steve’s calibre and experience has joined the development team.

“We are continuing to target growth in key areas to strengthen our service offering to meet the expanding needs of our clients through the delivery of high-quality bespoke consultancy advice.”

Regarding his new role at Roger Hannah, Smith said: “I look forward to joining Laura Mackay and one of the largest land and development teams in the North West at Roger Hannah, helping to provide specialist viability and development consultancy advice to our wide range clients.”

Smith began his role in September.

Smith’s hire continues Roger Hannah’s push to grow its land and development department – a push that has been going on for three years.

In addition to its land and development team, Roger Hannah other service offerings include business rates, investment, property management, and lease advisory.
