PwC names assurance leader
The accountancy firm has promoted property partner Ian Marsden to head of its assurance practice across the North West.
Marsden is PwC's property and construction leader in the North and will now lead the 200-strong core assurance practice in Manchester and Liverpool.
He replaced assurance partner Fiona Kelsey, who has taken up the role of North West head of relationships and networks.
Marsden joined the firm in 2008. Previously he spent four years as the chief financial officer of a large property development and investment group in Manchester, and has been an audit partner for the last 12 years.
Marsden said: "Our North West assurance team has had a great year with a number of client wins and transactions, so it is an exciting time to be taking up this role.
"Audit is at the heart of our brand, and we continue to invest significantly in the practice to ensure we deliver high quality and challenging audits to give our clients confidence in their financial information."
