Pochin develops Hawarden site for SIRA
Engineering safety regulator, SIRA Test & Certification, has agreed a pre-let deal for 27,000 sq ft at Hawarden Business Park in Flintshire.
SIRA, which is owned by US-based CSA International, will be the first company to move wholesale into the Deeside Enterprise Zone, Pochin said.
The site will become the HQ for the UK SIRA certification operations. Work is due to start on site in April 2014 with completion scheduled for spring 2015.
The project is a continuation of Pochin's work alongside the Welsh Assembly Government to develop Hawarden Business Park.
Bob Nicholson, director of Pochin Property, said: "The relocation of SIRA to the Business Park is an important next step in the growth of the Enterprise Zone and it provides prestige, expertise and investment in the local community. We are now working hard with our agents and the local council so that we can secure further new business and jobs at Hawarden, the EZ and North Wales in the near future."
Edwina Hart, minister for business, enterprise, technology & science in the Welsh Government, said: "This is excellent news and a great endorsement of the Deeside Enterprise Zone.
"The Welsh Government is pleased at its continued success and growth and Sira's move to Flintshire will provide great benefits to the local economy and the local community."
Pochin worked closely with Flintshire County Council to deliver the planning for the project. The agents that collaborated with Pochin on the project were Legat Owen and JLL.
