Plans in for 120 Congleton homes

Richborough and Land First Investments have applied to Cheshire East Council to develop a neighbourhood on 14 acres off Sandbach Road.

An application submitted to the local authority by Asteer Land and Planning indicates the scheme would provide 36 homes as affordable, meeting the 30% mark.

Four acres of the site would be reserved for public open space and amenities, including allotments and a children’s play area, would be provided.

Though the layout and housing mix are to be provided at the reserved matters stage, the plans suggest the scheme would feature a tree-lined avenue as its primary street, with lanes and mews branching off it.

BWB and Hub have assisted Richborough with the application. Land First Investments purchased the site in 2005.
