Pin refreshes Birchwood office stock
Pin Property Consultancy has appointed architect GA Studio to design the refurbishment of Allday House, acquired from receivers Eddisons at the start of this year.
The 52,000 sq ft building off Warrington Road is next to Pin's Washtington House, let to URS Corporation, and will be ready for occupation in early summer 2013. Allday House sits on a 3.85 acre site with 290 parking spaces and landscaping, which will also be improved. The two-storey building was completed in the early 1980s.
Imran Younus, a director of Manchester-based Pin, said: "The showpiece will be a stunning full height glass atrium in the middle of the building and there will also be a roof garden. Architect GA Studio has been commissioned to ensure that the finished product is not 'just another glass building' but something that is architecturally relevant and capable of becoming a local landmark."
Pin is undertaking the building work itself through its refurbishment arm. Younus said there is already strong interest in the building.
