Picture special: Who needs Cannes with ‘MIPIM in Manchester’

The opportunistic folk at PR company MC2 turned the credit crunch to their advantage with a packed attendance at the MIPIM in Manchester drinks party held at the Ha Ha restaurant in Spinningfields on Tuesday night.

More than 150 people from the city's property community turned out to drown their sorrows at the lack of deals but celebrate still having jobs.

Whether there was as many Manchester delegates in Cannes at the same time is highly debatable.
