Percy leaves Landsec for Muse

Laura Percy has been appointed as development director at Muse, departing Landsec after two years.

Mixed-use regeneration specialist Percy joins Muse’s growing team as the business, part of Morgan Sindall Group, continues to win work at regular intervals.

In recent months, Muse has been appointed as development partner on large-scale regeneration schemes In Eccles and Wythenshawe and appointed Stuart Rimmer as project director, also from Landsec, and Stephanie Smith as head of residential.

Muse is also active in Stockport, Oldham, Prestwich, Salford Central and Crescent, St Helens, and Blackpool.

During her time at Landsec, Percy worked on Mayfield and plans for the next phases of MediaCity, which her then-employer acquired from Peel.

Prior to joining Landsec, Percy spent two years as head of development at Bruntwood SciTech where she worked on Circle Square and Sister, the redevelopment of the former UMIST campus into an £1.5bn innovation zone.

Laura Percy, development director at Muse, said: “I am delighted to be joining Muse and look forward to playing my part supporting the team in the North West.

“The company is amongst the industry leaders who are working in partnership to deliver outstanding new places across the country. Joining the team in the North West is an opportunity to support an ambitious pipeline which will be transformative for the region.

“By bringing my own experience, and working with the established and expert team, we will continue to deliver outstanding regeneration and placemaking and have a real impact on communities.”

Steven Knowles, director of development management at Muse in the North West, said: “Laura brings a wealth of placemaking experience to our team. She will play an important role in supporting our exciting and ambitious pipeline in the North West.

“Her knowledge of innovation-led regeneration and experience working in partnership with the public and private sector will be crucial as we push forward with our plans for Crescent Salford and the sustainable regeneration of Prestwich Village.”

He added: “The last six months have been excellent in terms of growth, and Laura’s appointment puts us in a strong position to continue to progress over the forthcoming period.”

Great appointment. Such a hard worker. There would be great events at Mayfield taking place but you would always find her on the desk. Best of luck.
