Saunders promoted to co-head of Trowers’ Manchester office
Construction, regeneration, and housing specialist Katie Saunders will lead the law firm’s city centre office alongside Steve Dunseath.
Saunders, who has been with Trowers & Hamlins for 28 years, and Dunseath have been appointed co-heads of the practice’s Manchester office. The pair will replace Suzanne Benson, who led the team for seven years before being appointed national head of real estate.
“I would like to share a huge thank you to Suzanne for leading the team for the past seven years,” Saunders said.
“There has been an outstanding amount of success under her leadership, with clients, awards, and very substantial growth across all of our teams.
“It is an exciting time to be working in Manchester as the city sees an increase in investment and opportunities for growth and development.”
Saunders is also the chair of Manchester Constructing Excellence and is part of the Save Construction Initiative.
Dunseath, who joined Trowers from Eversheds six years ago, leads the dispute resolution and litigation team.
He said: “I am thrilled to be taking on this new position and collaborating with our exceptional Manchester team alongside Katie.
“We step into these roles with a focus on the firm’s growth areas and 2030 strategy. I am looking forward to working with our teams across the many sectors in which we operate to identify new opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and elevate the overall practice in the North West.”
