Peel lodges plans for 60 homes in Lymm
One of a trio of schemes proposed for Warrington’s Green Belt, the developer’s £8.4m development south of Bucklow Gardens is in for planning.
Comprising 60 homes in total with 27 to come forward as affordable, Peel Land’s the project would be constructed on close to seven acres between an area of ancient woodland and Oughtrington primary school.
Peel Land consulted on the scheme, along with two others, earlier this year. In total, the landowner wants to develop 460 homes across a trio of sites in Hollins Green, Lymm, and Croft.
The project would feature a new footpath link to the Bridgewater Canal and the site meets the criteria for Grey Belt, according to Peel Land.
Matthew Stafford, associate director at Peel Land, said: “The proposal in Lymm will bring new and affordable housing to the area, assisting with Warrington Council’s housing targets. The area will also see increased access to green space and the Bridgewater Canal, providing car-free, walkable links for all residents in the area.
“We’re pleased to move forward with these plans and would like to thank everyone who left their feedback in the consultation process.”
