NJL names non-exec chairman
Manchester-based planning consultancy NJL Consulting has appointed Alan Murch as non-executive chairman.
Murch brings more than 40 years' experience in the North West property market, and was previously a senior director at CBRE and a consultant at Keppie Massie. In 2004, Murch set up his own property consultancy and worked with a mix of private and corporate clients, including Manchester Airport Group, UK Land & Property and Guardian Media Group.
At NJL, Murch will work in a part-time role, and will be responsible for the generation of new leads, business development and participating in the day-to-day running of the firm.
Murch said: "Using my years of experience the commercial property market and the contacts I've developed during my career, I'll be looking to bring an extra dimension to both managing and developing the business.
"I've known managing director Nick Lee for nearly 15 years, having worked with him at two previous firms. I rate him highly as a commercially-minded planner and had no hesitation in accepting his invitation to join what I consider to be a highly progressive company."
Lee said: "Alan's appointment follows a major restructuring of the business and the appointment of key personnel as directors with a view to catering for our key practice areas; namely residential planning, commercial development and environmental consultancy."
