Wirral tower blocks in need of refurbishment

Registered social landlord Wirral Partnership Homes is establishing a £15m construction framework agreement to improve tower blocks in the area.

Wirral Partnership Homes recently completed an asset management review of its 15 high rise blocks that were originally in the ownership of Wirral Council. These blocks were built during the 1960s and although some refurbishment has been carried out in the interim period, they are now in need of substantial re-investment to meet current and future standards.

It is envisaged that the successful contractor will be appointed under single contractor framework agreement. The duration of the framework agreement is four years.

Wirral Partnership Homes are seeking expressions of interest from contractors to carry out the improvement works to at least five of its 15 high rise blocks, which are 10 storeys and above.

Deadline for submitting tenders is 12pm on Friday 12 March.

YOU ARE AS THE SAYING GOES, "DRAGGING YOUR FEET" OVER THIS MATTER, SO EITHER GET OFF YOUR ASS AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT BEFORE THE PEOPLE OF SOME OF THESE FLATS GO TO THE COURTS TO HAVE YOU DO WHAT THE LAW SAYS YOU SHOULD DO AND THAT IS TO GIVE PEOPLE IN YOUR AREA A DECENT STANDARD OF LIVING AS THE GOVERNMENT AND YOUR SELF’S SAY MUST BE DONE BEFORE A SAID TIME AND DATE OR YEAR. SO FOR YOUR SAKE I WOULD GET UP OF YOUR ASS AND DO SOMETHING CONSTRUCTIVE NOW…….
