Top 250 retailer hires CBRE for Manchester office search

An unnamed FTSE 250 retailer currently in talks with inward investment agency Midas over opening a shared services centre in Manchester has appointed CB Richard Ellis to find a 35,000 sq ft to 40,000 sq ft office.

The requirement is for a city centre or fringe location and the search is likely to focus on secondary sites and refurbished space due to the cost limitations usually associated with call centres.

The appointment is the latest strong lead emerging from Midas, which is also advising several global banks on possible moves to Manchester.

Another retailer, Marks & Spencer, is still considering its options for an 80,000 sq ft requirement in the city.
