The exhibition space occupies half of the ground floor of No 4 St Paul's Square in Liverpool throughout the seven weeks of the International Festival for Business. As well as stands and events there is a coffee shop run by local catering company Bean Coffee, and a networking area to use for meetings and as a drop-in base during IFB. Visitors do not need to be a delegate at a PlaceEXPO event but can drop by at any time during the opening hours.
As part of PlaceEXPO the exhibition features a pop-up office available for use by visitors. Form sourced the range of modern furniture seen across both the exhibition hall and conference space at PlaceEXPO. Many pieces are new products to the market.
Form worked with a range of partners to bring together the design for the pop-up office, which mixes sleek and usable office furniture with bright accessories and wall art. The theme across the PlaceEXPO space is 'the Future Agency' and looks at the need for flexible workspace, as 9 – 5 hours are no longer the norm and the working environment takes on a different purpose. There are areas that provide isolation for focused individual work, alongside those for collaborative projects and socialising.
Form partnered with ideas and branding agency SB Studios on the art design and concept the space. Form also worked with the following suppliers; Camira Fabrics, Sixteen3, Gresham, Verco, Edge Design, Icon Screens, AirCharge, Ergo, Cascando, Forma 5, The Printroom UK and Mix Interiors.
Anna Heyes, managing director of Active Profile, which organised PlaceEXPO alongside Place North West, said: "Our vision for PlaceEXPO was to create a contemporary MIPIM-like space for people to meet, network and relax between IFB events. Form were chosen as our partner because they quickly got to grips with this and had great ideas and energy for the project. The team are truly passionate about creating modern workplaces and our delegates are loving the impressive pop up office space interiors."
