Simpson’s capital injection

Ian Simpson Architects in Manchester has received a welcome boost to this year's fees with consent granted for a 31-storey tower in Canary Wharf, east London.

Dollar Bay by Londonewcastle and European Investments will contain 121 units in the main tower and 64 in a smaller block of up to eight storeys.

Ian Simpson said: "Dollar bay is a beautiful elegant and unique building which terminates the vista along the dock, providing spacious and light homes with dramatic views of Canary Wharf. This will be a special and distinctive building and a significant addition to the London skyline."

The scheme is in West India and Millwall Dock on the Isle of Dogs. There will also be cinema for residents, car parking in the basement and a winter garden.
