Restaurant deal at Central Village

Coast to Coast American Restaurant & Bar, part of the Restaurant Group, will occupy a 5,000 sq ft unit in Merepark's development in Liverpool.

Coast To Coast takes its inspiration from Route 50, the 3,000-mile highway which runs from the Atlantic to the Pacific across the USA. It takes in more than a dozen states – reflected in the menu with Chicago-style pizzas, seafood, steaks, sizzling fajitas and wraps.

The brand launched in 2011 when the first restaurant opened in Brighton, followed by Newcastle this year.

Coast to Coast has signed for a unit in the development's Boardwalk level, opposite the water feature off Newington Square. The restaurant will sit alongside the six-screen, 3D Odeon cinema behind Central Station.

Neal Hunter, associate director at Merepark, said: "Central Village is progressing really well, and we are still seeing strong interest from the retail and leisure sector around the development. There is very little being delivered on this scale at the moment, not only in Liverpool, but across the UK – a fact which is attracting many businesses to consider Liverpool as their next move above other major UK cities."

Savills and CBRE are advising on the leisure offering for Merepark.
