Rentalcars signs at Fountain Street

Car hire company Rentalcars has taken 38,000 sq ft in IVG's 35 Fountain Street in Manchester city centre on a 10-year lease.

The 50,000 sq ft building was formerly the back-office for Royal & SunAlliance, and after it was vacated in 2012 was given a £2.5m refurbishment designed by 5plus Architects.

Rentalcars is understood to be paying around £20/sq ft.

The company has offices in Sunlight House in Quay Street, with 35 Fountain Street to be used for expansion space.

Rentalcars was advised by OBI Property. CBRE and OBI Property are joint agents on the building.
