Reed quits agency to join Bruntwood

Office agent Tony Reed is leaving independent practice Keppie Massie to become head of sales at Bruntwood in Liverpool, replacing Matt Lee, who moves to Manchester Science Partnerships within the Bruntwood group.

Reed spent 12 years at Keppie Massie, where he was an associate partner, and will take up his new position in January.

Bruntwood’s Liverpool portfolio includes The Plaza, Cotton Exchange, Queen Insurance Buildings and Oriel Chambers. The landlords has been restructuring its office holdings in the city and has converted offices off Castle Street and Old Hall Street into hotels and apartments.

Before Keppie Massie, Reed spent three years as an investment officer at Business Liverpool, an enterprise support organisation. He is chairman of the property group at business organisation Professional Liverpool.

Reed said: “Throughout my years working in the Merseyside property market, Bruntwood has always stood out for its long-term approach to customer relationships and the genuine passion it has for preserving and enhancing its buildings.

“Bruntwood’s portfolio in the Liverpool city region is an incredible blend of historic and purpose-built Liverpool landmarks, all refurbished and maintained to a very high standard. This is a wonderful opportunity for me to further enhance the great occupancy rates achieved over the past few years and I can’t wait to get started.”

Colin Forshaw, head of property at Bruntwood, said: “Tony is a well-known and successful figure in the city region’s property sector and his network is second-to-none. We have been pleased to attract so many new customers into our properties in recent years and we are confident Tony will further add to this upward curve.”
