National Grid appoints PPS to community relations panel

Manchester-based PPS has been appointed by the National Grid to its roster of consultancies providing community relations support for a range of infrastructure projects across the UK.

The roster, consisting of seven consultancies, was established by National Grid's project teams around the country to engage with all key communities and stakeholders affected by their work.

PPS has been appointed in each of the National Grid regions in the UK, including the North West.

Stephen Byfield, managing director of PPS said: "PPS has core strengths in precisely the type of support that National Grid require which we can marry with our extensive knowledge of the energy sector with the aim of adding value from the outset."

The other firms on the roster are JBP PR & Parliamentary Affairs, Camargue, Cooper Consultancy, Grayling, Local Dialogue, IPB Communications.
